Nick Hewes

Nick brings specialized wilderness and search and rescue experience to the NexAid team. As a Wilderness First Responder and volunteer with Palouse-Clearwater Search and Rescue, he understands emergency response in challenging and remote environments.

His experience with Palouse-Clearwater SAR has given him extensive hands-on experience in emergency response situations where quick thinking and proper technique can make the difference between life and death. This real-world experience enhances his ability to teach students not just the techniques, but the critical thinking skills needed in emergency situations.

Nick’s Wilderness First Responder certification brings an additional dimension to his teaching, as he understands how to adapt emergency response techniques to various environments and circumstances. This experience helps him prepare students for the unpredictable nature of real emergencies.

As a newer instructor, Nick is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and helping others develop the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.
